Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website, the hosted demo verification endpoint we operate, and the open-source verification tools we publish. They are provided by Attested Intelligence Holdings LLC. We do not sell a subscription or hosted service, and there is no account to create; if that changes, these terms will be updated first.

1. What these terms cover

Three things:

• this website and its documentation;
• the public demo gateway, a hosted endpoint that mints and serves signed evidence bundles for demonstration and testing;
• the open-source packages we publish (the reference MCP server and the offline verifiers on npm and PyPI).

The open-source packages are governed by their own license files, not by these terms. See Section 3.

2. Acceptable use

You may read this site, run the tools, and use the demo endpoint for evaluation. You agree not to:

• misrepresent a verification result, for example by presenting a bundle as VERIFIED when the verifier reports otherwise, or by altering a verifier's output;
• forge, or attempt to forge, an evidence bundle, receipt, or signature, or pass off a bundle we did not sign as one we did;
• abuse the demo endpoint: automated flooding, attempts to exhaust or corrupt its public chain, or use that degrades the service for others;
• use the Attested Intelligence name, logo, or marks in a way that implies endorsement, certification, or a relationship that does not exist;
• use any of this for an unlawful purpose.

Studying, modifying, and re-implementing the open-source verifiers is expressly permitted; it is the point of publishing them. Independent re-implementation from the specification is encouraged.

3. Open source and licensing

The published packages are open source and are governed by the license included with each: the npm packages under the MIT License, and the Python package under the Apache License 2.0. Those licenses control what you may do with the code, including studying, modifying, and redistributing it, and nothing in these terms narrows the rights they grant. The verifiers are meant to be inspected and forked.

4. Intellectual property

The evidence format and governance methods are the subject of a pending U.S. patent application (No. 19/433,835). The Attested Intelligence name and marks remain the property of Attested Intelligence Holdings LLC. The patent and trademark positions are separate from, and do not override, the open-source licenses on the published code (Section 3). Licensing or IP inquiries: admin@attestedintelligence.com.

5. No warranty

The website, the demo endpoint, and the tools are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. The demo endpoint is for demonstration and may change or go offline without notice. A verification result reports whether a bundle satisfies the cryptographic checks it runs; it is not legal advice and is not a guarantee of any compliance, security, or legal outcome. Run your own assessment and obtain your own counsel for your situation.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Attested Intelligence Holdings LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website, the demo endpoint, or the tools. Because these are provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

7. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or restrict access to the demo endpoint for anyone who abuses it or breaches these terms. Your right to use the open-source packages is governed by their licenses and is unaffected by any such suspension.

8. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect, and the unenforceable provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
